[FONTEYN & NUREYEV]: [FONTEYN MARGOT] (1919-1991) English ballerina & [NUREYEV RUDOLF] (1938-1993) Soviet ballet dancer. A good collection of original unsigned press and studio photographs of various sizes (8 x 10 and smaller), the images depicting the dancers both together and in solo poses, many of them depicting them dancing in various ballets, others showing them being introduced to Queen Elizabeth II following a Gala performance at Covent Garden (1969), and being received by Princess Grace in Monte Carlo (1968), Fonteyn toasting Nureyev on the occasion of his birthday, Fonteyn in conversation with actress Vanessa Redgrave etc. Many of the press photographs have the original printed captions attached to the verso and other photographers include Leslie Spatt, Judy Cameron, Andrew Karney, Frederika Davis, Houston Rogers, Jennie Walton, Beverley Gallegos etc. Generally VG, 106
