A quando le fotografie di Butterfly - e come sonno le rappresentazioni? E a Londra…´ (“I have your photos here, they are very nice and I really like them here on my secretary! When will the photographs of Butterfly be ready - and how are the performances going? Is all ready for London… ?”) Puccini further refers to the bad weather and compares it to his mood, saying `Ora sono qui a Milano con un tempo vile… cosi e anche l´animo mio!..´ (“Now I am here in Milan with a nasty weather…and so is my soul too!...”) Addressed to the verso in Puccini´s hand, postmarked and stamped.
