BORMANN MARTIN: (1900-1945) German Nazi Party official of World War II who served as Chief of the Nazi Party Chancellery 1941-45 and as Private Secretary to Adolf Hitler 1943-45. Autograph minute signed, with his initial B, in bold red crayon, to the upper left corner of an A.L.S., Kerrl, by Hanns Kerrl (1887-1941) German Nazi politician, Prussian Minister of Justice 1932-34 and Reichsminister of Church Affairs 1935-41, three pages, 4to, Charlottenburg, Berlin, 4th April 1939, to Bormann, in German. Kerrl asks Bormann to deliver a book and letter (no longer present) to the Fuhrer, adding that it is very, very important to him and remarking 'I am sure that the Fuhrer will like to read this clever book, as soon as he has taken notice of my letter. I have written Hitler in the letter, that I beg him for a discussion if he thinks it necessary after having read the book'. Bormann's note indicates that Kerrl's request was settled by a consultation. Two file holes to the left edge of each page, not affecting the text or signature, and a few light, minor creases to the left edge. VG
