HITLER ADOLF: (1889-1945) Fuhrer of the Third Reich 1933-45. Vintage signed World War II date postcard photograph of Hitler seated outdoors in a relaxed full length pose alongside his beloved German Shepherd pet dog Blondi. Photograph by Heinrich Hoffmann of Munich. Signed by Hitler in bold black fountain pen ink with his name alone to the image. With some light staining to the left and centre of the image and with evident signs of restoration involving the re-touching of Hitler's face and chest and Blondi's ear. About G
Blondi (1941-1945) had been presented to Hitler whilst a puppy as a gift from Martin Bormann in 1941. The Fuhrer was devoted to the German Shepherd and she accompanied him to the Fuhrerbunker in January 1945 towards the end of World War II.
