MUSSOLINI BENITO: (1883-1945) Italian Fascist Dictator of World War II. D.S., `Mussolini´, one page, folio, Rome, 20th July 1939, in Italian. The partially printed document is a disciplinary order signed by Mussolini in his capacity as Minister of war, bearing the printed heading “Ministro della Guerra”, according to which Mussolini retracts the Italian nationality to a former sub-Lieutenant and veterinary Francesco Rutar, saying in part `Il Sottotenente Veterinario in congedo, Urutar Francesco, di origine e sentimenti Slavi, e espatriato in Jugoslavia per cercarvi una occupazione e cola ha chiesto ed ottenuto la cittadinanza Jugoslava….avrei determinato di nadottare nei suoi riguardi il provvedimento della Perdita del grado per Perdita della cittadinanza Italiana..´ (“The retired Veterinary Lieutenant, Urutar Francesco, of Slavic origin and sentiments, and expatriate in Yugoslavia to look for a job, having applied for and obtained the Yugoslavian citizenship ... I have determined to adopt the loss of the military Grade due to loss of Italian citizenship..”) The document bears a watermark.
