Egas Moniz is regarded as one of the founders of modern psychosurgery, developing the cerebral angiography and the lobotomy procedure. An excellent and unusual autograph document, signed ` Egas Moniz´, one page, folio, n.p., 13 th February 1950, to Henri Corbiere, in French. Egas Moniz responds to his correspondent´s questionnaire about his debuts, his initial incomes, his major works, and which one he considers the most important one, and answering beneath each of his correspondent´s questions, states in part referring to his major works ` The two discoveries. First one, the cerebral angiography (Oslo Award), and later the prefrontal leucotomy (Nobel Prize) Further, and responding to the one of his works he considers the most important, Egas Moniz says ` Both of them; but the cerebral angiography gave me much more work to do´.
