MAERA: (1896-1924) Manuel Garcia Lopez, best known as “Maera”. Spanish Bullfighter, a leading figure of his time, disciple of Juan Belmonte. Maera died at the very early age of 28. Very rare signed and inscribed 7 x 11 photograph, signed two months before passing away, the image depicting the Maera standing in a full length pose, wearing his Matador´s fit. Signed in bold black ink to the lower right corner, `Manuel Garcia “Maera”´, also dated in his hand 5th October 1924. Overall age wear, otherwise G
