PAUL VI: (1897-1978) Pope of the Catholic Church 1963-78. D.S., Jo. Bapt. Montini, in his capacity as Pro-Secretary for Ordinary Affairs of Secretariat of State, one page (vellum), oblong folio, Rome, 26th July 1953, in Latin. The attractive partially printed document (in red and black) is completed in manuscript and issued in the name of Pope Pius XII, conferring the title of Commander of the Order of the Holy Pope Sylvester upon Hermann Kuijpers of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels. Together with a similar D.S. by Amleto Giovanni Cicognani (1883-1973) Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, Vatican Secretary of State 1961-69, one page (vellum), oblong folio, Rome, 20th July 1963, in Latin, issued in the name of Pope Paul VI and conferring the title of Commander of the Order of Saint Gregory the Great on Hermann Kujipers.
