LIFAR SERGE & LEONIDE: Serge Lifar (1905-1986) Ukranian ballet Dancer and Choreographer. One of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century. A bold ink A.M.Q.S., `Serge Lifar´, one page, oblong 8vo, n.p., n.d., to Marcelle Bourgat, in French. On a page removed from an autograph album, Lifar has penned a bold black ink large musical quotation, six bars, which he entitles `Fin d´Icare´ and inscribes it to `A la charmante Marcelle Bourgat danseuse inspirée´. Together with Leonid Lifar, one page, 8vo, Paris, 6th January 1939, thanking his correspondent and sending his best regards. Also adding a small sketch of a dancer´s foot. VG, 2
