CALLAS MARIA: (1923-1977) American-born Greek soprano. An unusual printed folding 8vo menu for a dinner in honour of Callas at the River Restaurant of the Savoy Hotel, following a recital by the soprano at the Festival Hall, London, 31st May 1963, signed and inscribed by Callas in black fountain pen ink to a clear area of the cover beneath a photographic reproduction image of the singer from a portrait by Christos Simatos. Dated 1963 in her hand. Some very light, extremely minor age wear, VG
Callas gave a recital at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 31st May 1963, accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Georges Pretre.
