MILHAUD DARIUS: (1892-1974) French composer, a member of Les Six. Signed and inscribed folio edition of the printed sheet music for Concerto pour violoncelle et piano, First edition published by Raymond Deiss, Paris, 1936, signed and inscribed by Milhaud to the title page, in French, 'A Pierre Fournier, souvenir bien amical, Milhaud' and dated 1937 in his hand. With several performance markings in the hand of Fournier and bearing his ink initials and ownership stamp to the lower right corner of the front cover of the paper wrappers. Together with a second, slightly smaller printed copy of the same piece, unsigned, although bearing extensive performance markings in Pierre Fournier's hand and with a transcription of one passage to the blank verso of the final page. With Fournier's initials to the lower right corner of the first page (slightly masked by tape). Both are a little crudely repaired and strengthened with brown tape to the spines and edges, about G, 2
