DOUGLAS KIRK: (1916-2020) American actor, Academy Award winner. Vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of Douglas standing in a menacing three-quarter length pose, in costume as Jonathan Shields, as he tightly grips the distressed Lana Turner, in costume as Georgia Lorrison, in a scene from the American melodrama The Bad and the Beautiful (1952). Signed by Douglas in blue fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image. It was for his performance in this film that Douglas was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar. VG
Provenance: The present photograph originates from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
