SIRK DOUGLAS: (1897-1987) German film director. A rare vintage signed 7 x 9 photograph, the original Universal International press photograph (with a typed caption in German affixed to the verso) depicting Sirk seated in a full-length profile pose engaged in conversation with actress Marianne Koch, seated opposite, on the set of the drama romance film Interlude (1957) in which Koch performed in the role of Reni Fischer. Signed by Sirk in blue ink to the image, adding a three-word greeting in German beneath his signature. The greeting is a little light although legible. Some slight corner creasing and a few very minor traces of former mounting to the verso. About VG
