BERGMAN & ROSSELLINI: BERGMAN INGRID (1915-1982) Swedish actress, Academy Award winner & ROSSELLINI ROBERTO (1906-1977) Italian film director, husband of Bergman from 1950-57. An extremely rare vintage signed sepia 8 x 10 photograph by both Bergman and Rossellini individually, the original Associated Press photograph (with a typed caption lightly affixed to the verso) depicting the couple standing and seated together in three-quarter length poses, Rossellini kissing his wife's forehead, following her live performance in Joan of Arc at the Stake at La Scala, Milan. In one hand Rossellini holds a manacle used in the production, which he directed. Signed by both Bergman and Rossellini in blue inks (the latter fountain pen ink) with their names alone to clear areas of the image.
