RAMSEY ALF: (1920-1999) English football player and manager of the England national team 1963-74, during which time he guided them to victory in the World Cup, 1966. T.L.S., A. E. Ramsey, one page, 4to, Ipswich, Suffolk, 16th July 1981, to Mr. Lazarus. Ramsey thanks his correspondent for their letter and adds that it was kind of him to invite him to participate in a Forum, although remarks that he will not be able to accept owing to other commitments at that time of year.
