Extremely rare vintage signed cabinet photograph by Wesenberg & Co. of Saint Petersburg, the image depicting Turgenev in a formal semi profile half length pose. Signed `I. Turgenev´ in bold black fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image, in Cyrillic. Photographer´s imprint to the verso, in Cyrillic. ''Wesenberg & Co., Saint Petersburg, Voznesensky Avenue nº 32''. Very small overall, minor age wear, and extremely small stains, otherwise VG £2500-3500 A very unusual autograph, Turgenev signing with his name, opposed to his regular signature.
