SACHER-MASOCH LEOPOLD VON: (1836-1895) Austrian Writer, a Galician Storyteller and a utopian ideals Humanist Thinker. The term masochism is derived from his name. L.S., Sacher Masoch, two pages, 8vo, 6 rue d´Edimbourg, n.d., in French. Sacher Masoch explains to his correspondent that he wasn´t able to meet him and that he regrets, hoping he will be able to do so in the near future, and states `Monsieur de Cyon has asked me for the news which I promised him, but because I have been suffering for quite a while, I have not been able to keep my word till today´s date. Therefore I beg you again to present my manuscript to Monsieur Cyon.´ Sacher-Masoch adds beneath his name `Novelist
