NERUDA PABLO: (1904-1973) Chilean Poet. His real name being Ricardo Reyes Basoalto, he derived his pen name from Jan Neruda a Czech Poet. Neruda won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. Autograph statement signed `Pablo Neruda´, one page, folio, Madrid, July 1937, in Spanish. Written in bold dark blue ink by Neruda, with large letters, stating `Faith in life, in people, in the community of thought and happiness´. Also dated `return from Madrid, July 1937´ in is hand. Written in the hand of a collector to the upper edge, ''Statements of contemporary Great Writers - chile - Pablo Neruda - 16th July 1937'' and to the lower edge ''Noble Prize in Literature 1971''. None affecting Neruda´s statement. Few small tears to the right edge, otherwise VG £400-600
