MALAPARTE CURZIO: (1898-1957) Italian Writer and Diplomat. Born Kurt Erich Sucker, he adopted the Malaparte surname, meaning ''wrong-bad side'' opposed to Napoleon´s surname Bonaparte which means ''good side''. Book signed and inscribed, an 8vo hardback edition of his work Fughe in Prigione (''Prison Escapes''), (1936). The Italian text edition published by Vallecchi, Firenze, 1954. The 278 pages book is signed and inscribed in bold blue ink to the title page `To my dear Guy Tosi, with friendly and affectionate wishes, Curzio Malaparte´ in Italian, also dated in his hand (`Florence, January 1955´). Bound in green. Very small overall age wear, with spine very slightly and partially unbound. VG £200-300
