DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Fils (1824-1895) French Author and Dramatist. A.L.S., A. Dumas, one page, 4to, n.p. [Paris], n.d. [1850], to Monsieur Souverain, in French. Dumas explains to his correspondent the payments received and the proportion corresponding to each, stating `I have indeed received 2900, but the 1000 f. which correspond to you for the two volumes of Strong Men, are granted to you, keep calm,..´ further saying `I still have ten serials to supply. You will therefore receive towards the end of the month the proportion corresponding to you.´ Dumas concludes reminding `It is obviously clear that if the novel makes three volumes and if you publish them, you will have to pay for one volume.´ With blank address leaf in Hugo´s hand. Folded. With a very small area of paper loss to the opening of the address leaf. About VG £100-150 Hyppolyte Souverain (1803-1880) Dumas´ Editor Trois Hommes Forts (1850) (''Three Strong Men''), is a work by Dumas.
