DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Fils (1824-1895) French Author and Dramatist. A.L.S., A Dumas, two pages, 8vo, n.p., n.d. [December 1870], to Emile Deschanel, in French. On a mourning paper, Dumas refers to his father´s death and states in part `Thank you, my dear friend! Alas!.. when my father arrived here. .. He passed away on 5th December, at 10h in the morning, in the same way he did everything throughout his life, without any effort.´ With blank integral leaf. Folded, otherwise VG £150-200 Emile Deschanel (1819-1904) French Author and Politician. A close friend to Alexandre Dumas.
