LAURENCIN MARIE: (1883-1956) French Painter. Laurencin was a renowned avant-garde Cubist figure in the Parisian artistic circles. A good A.L.S., two pages (on two separate sheets), 12mo, 7 Rue Masseran, Paris, 5th April 1920, to Paulette, in French. Laurencin apologizes for her late response, explaining that the only reason was that her correspondent forgot to add her own address to the letter received during holidays. Laurencin states in part `Here we are, both - the old age winning - the workshop should be heated but it is not - because the heating Company do not bother, therefore I rest in the meantime, although I would like to have you posing..´ A cleanly written letter by Laurencin. Accompanied by a colour 4to lithograph of a drawing by Laurencin removed from a limited edition book. VG £150-200
