GONNE MAUD: (1866-1953) English-born Irish Revolutionary and Actress. Gonne was W. B. Yeats´ muse, many of his poems are inspired by her. Scarce double autograph with statement, both in French and Irish, `Maud Gonne´, also signed in Irish, one page, 4to, [Paris, 7th October 1910], to M. Tournant. Gonne states in Irish and French `Fighting and hoping´. The document bears at the heading a small 1.5 x 2 photograph of the Irish artist affixed, with the French written text beneath ''Miss Maud Gonne - Writer'' in a collector´s hand. Also accompanied by the original envelope, post-stamped and in Gonne´s hand, which has been affixed to the verso. Very small creasing, otherwise VG £400-600
