WEISS MARTIN: (1905-1946) German SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer of World War II, commandant of Neuengamme concentration camp 1940-42 and commandant of Dachau concentration camp at the time of his arrest in 1945. Weiss was executed for war crimes. Fountain pen ink signature ('Name Weiss Vorname Martin') and one additional word in his hand on a small partially printed slim oblong 12mo piece evidently neatly clipped from an official document. Lightly mounted to the base of an A4 sheet of paper featuring a reproduction image of Weiss seated in a full-length pose during his trial. VG
