Signed and inscribed 4.5 x 6.5 photograph, an engaging image of Maugham seated in a three-quarter length pose in a large armchair. Neatly signed in blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border. Accompanied by a T.L.S., W. S. Maugham , one page, 8vo, London, 26th November 1958, to James Geale, on the printed stationery of The Dorchester. Maugham thanks his correspondent for their charming letter and adds that he is sending the photograph, explaining 'it was taken on my eightieth birthday' . VG, 2
