TWAIN MARK: (1835-1910) Samuel Langhorne Clemens. American Writer. - Vintage signed postcard photograph of Twain in a head and shoulders pose. Signed ('Mark Twain') with his name alone in dark fountain pen ink to the lower white border. Some minor silvering and a few very slight traces of former mounting to the edges of the image, GTwain's novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), the latter often referred to as 'The Great American Novel'. Lauded as the 'greatest American humourist of his age', William Faulkner called Twain 'the father of American literature'.
