Jeckeln commanded one of the largest Einsatzgruppen ''Death Squads'', and was responsible for ordering the deaths of over 100.000 ''Undesirables'' designated by the Nazis. After the end of WWII, Jeckeln was convicted of war crimes by a Soviet military tribunal and executed in 1946.
