Rendu was a worker and organizer of care for the poor during the course of the Industrial Revolution. Rendu was beatified by the Catholic Church for the holiness of her life. Rare A.L.S., `Rosalie´, one page, 8vo, Paris, 7th December 1844, to Monsieur Durand, in French. Rendu wishes to receive promptly some books she asked for at Dupond´s library in Paris, stating `Have you been able to get the books I asked you some time ago? I have an opportunity to send them tomorrow, you would very much please me if you could give them to the bearer of this letter..´ With address leaf in the hand of Rendu.
