ENGLISH WRITERS: W. Somerset Maugham (1874-1965) English Novelist and Playwright. Vintage signed 4.5 x 5 magazine portrait, the image depicting Maugham seated in a half-length pose. Signed in fountain pen ink with his name alone to a light area at the edge of the image; Dorothy L. Sayers (1893-1957) British Author, creator of the amateur sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey. Vintage signed 4.5 x 6 magazine portrait, the image showing Sayers in a three-quarter length pose holding a book in one hand. Signed in fountain pen ink with her name alone to a slightly darker area of the image. Both are lightly laid down to pages removed from an autograph album and have a few light creases and folds.
