GAGARIN YURI: (1934-1968) Russian Cosmonaut. First human to travel in space, 1961. Signed book by Gagarin, in Cyrillic, being a 5.5 x 8 hardback edition of Gagarin´s autobiography Road to the Stars (1961). A Russian text edition, in Cyrillic, published in Moscow, 1961. Signed by Gagarin in bold blue ink to the front free end paper. The 175 pages book featuring 56 pages with photographs of Gagarin, with his relatives, colleagues, and receiving awards from Russian leaders. Original dust jacket still present. Gagarin died at the early age of 34 when the MiG-15 jet he was piloting crashed. Some overall age wear. G £500-600
