Montherlant kindly asks his correspondent to give to the bearer of his letter `..who would like to obtain (whether paying or not) a copy of Les Fontaines du Désir. I am almost sure that you have one. Would you please give him a copy.´ Accompanied by an original copy of the French literary magazine Les Ecrivains Contemporains (The Contemporary Writers), issued in July 1954, entirely dedicated to Montherlant.
