ALECHINSKY PIERRE: (1927- ) Belgian abstract Artist. An excellent original and unique 8 x 11 painting work, to an exchange of furniture Belgian 1934 contract. Signed (`Alechinsky´) in bold black ink to the lower right corner. This Alechinsky´s colourful work, from the 60´s, is inspired in his snakes-volcanos-hats of Gilles time. We find here the snake and the tree of knowledge at the Eden´s garden, being here the volcano an apple tree. Fully painted by Alechinsky. The partially printed document, in French, bears a legible text at the heading, stating "Exchange of Furniture - Joseph Tourné - Purchase-Sale - New-Second-Hand", the remaining contract text being handwritten, is largely overpainted by the author, although can be read at a close look. The document bears to the lower part three post-stamps, signed and dated by Tourné, and two file holes to the left edge. Framed in metal and glazed, to a white background, to an overall size of 12 x 16. EX £1500-2000
