FAIZANT JACQUES: (1918-2006) French Cartoonist, best known for his caricatures in the newspaper Le Figaro and Match Point magazine. A good signed sketch, Jacques Faizant, to an oblong folio, drawing paper, the ink drawing depicting two drunken marines talking to a policeman. Faizant has added at the base of the image, in pencil, the funny comment the marine is addressing to the policeman `We?...a fight with the guardians of peace?..after drinking?.. oh! Sir Reverend, you don´t know us well enough!´ Faizant used to publish daily funny sketches, often related to soldiers and policemen. With traces of former mounting to the bottom front corners.
