GRANADOS ENRIQUE: (1867-1916) Spanish Pianist & - GRANADOS ENRIQUE: (1867-1916) Spanish Pianist & Composer. A.L.S., Enrique, three pages, 8vo, Madrid, n.d. (˜Sunday'') to Alfredo (Faria?), in Spanish. Granados informs his correspondent that he met a mutual acquaintance who had encouraged him to write and informs him about Arboi who has a month holiday in April and will perform in the Quartet. The Spanish composer further asks Alfredo to prepare a small concert, giving him suggestions regarding tickets and guaranteeing subscriptions from ten or twelve families. Granados also provides the address of Arboi at the Rider Street Hotel in London, and comments `Do not forget to do everything you can to make something happen, as we could do with a session after this period of music paralysis in Barcelona. I know that my conviction is greater now, but not as great as yours'. The composer amusingly concludes the letter by offering his friend `a kick from your pig'`. In a postscript he states that there shouldn´t be a problem finding a musician to play the violoncello, possibly Mizeky. Some very light age wear, and a few minor splits to the folds, G £600-900
