SAINT-SAËNS CAMILLE: (1835-1921) French Composer. A.L.S., C. Saint-Saëns, two pages, 8vo, Written to the first and fourth page, Dieppe, n.d., on the printed stationery of the Hotel-des-Familles, to an unidentified lady, in French. Saint-Saëns responds to his correspondent stating ´I think that I wrongly explained myself. In the two Bibles I have consulted, the Lord tells Moïse to take his stick, but he does not tell him to use it; he says "talk to the roc", further referring to a work where it is said that Moïse has to beat the roc and concludes with a question to his correspondent `..Therefore what is this infidel translation? To be seen
´ A curious biblical content letter. With a fold and few very small stains not affecting the text or signature, otherwise G £200-300
