Empress Consort of Russia 1894-1917, wife of Tsar Nicholas II. The last Tsarina of Russia, known for her notorious friendship with the Russian mystic Rasputin. Nicholas & Alexandra were assassinated by the Bolsheviks. Attractive original 4 x 6 cabinet photograph card, unsigned, the unusual K.E. von Gan image showing Tsar Nicholas and Empress Alexandra outdoors, walking in the countryside, in full length poses. Nicholas II wears his military uniform and walking few steps behind two head-officers, members of the Romanov family. The cabinet photograph card bears to the front at the base and to the verso the attractive logos of K.E. von Gan photographer in Tsarkoye Selo. VG
