JUTTA OF MECKLENBURG-STRELITZ: (1880-1946) German Duchess, Crown Princess of Montenegro as the consort of Crown Prince Danilo. A.L.S., Militza, (the name by which she was known following her marriage), four pages, 8vo, Lugano, 10th April 1925, to Madame Gnecchi, in French. The Crown Princess apologises for not having been able to accept her correspondent's kind invitation owing to a wretched flu which she is still recovering from, remarking 'The Prince too is only slowly getting better. On our doctor's advice we have decided on a change of air, and Lugano seems to answer exactly, the air is invigorating, the new snow has not long fallen right up to the top of Monte Generoso! and they tell us that on the other side of the St. Gotthard there is no snow!! The climate and the world are topsy-turvy'. In concluding she wonders if they will have the pleasure of meeting each other again in the summer, either in Switzerland or Germany, just as they did last summer in Zurich. EX
