PHILIP III: (1578-1621) King of Spain 1598-1621. A good L.S., Yo el Rey, as King, a bold and large signature example, one page, oblong folio, Madrid, 2nd of March 1607, to Cardinal Visconti, in old Spanish. The King refers to his envoy `.. sending the Duke of Feria to attend the audience with the Holy Father, fulfilling our obligation as obedient sons of the apostolic Holy See, visiting you on my behalf, and forwarding and granting to you my good will..´ Countersigned at the base by Andres de Prada. Bearing a Royal paper seal to the verso. A cleanly written document. Also bearing to the verso of the largely lose second part of the sheet the adressee´s name. G to VG
