[CORSAIRS]: A curious and unusual printed prospectus, signed by the Corsair L - [CORSAIRS]: A curious and unusual printed prospectus, signed by the Corsair L´Alliance ship owners, three pages, 4to, Port-Malo, 23rd December 1799, in French. The document is a proposal of sale of shares for the purchase of weapons, equipment, payment to sailors and which will allow to participate on the profits the corsair L´Alliance will get with the booty obtained. The text explains in detail the conditions for shareholders ownership, reporting that the Captain will be Quimper, that the vessel is at Port-Malo and will return to same port, and explains in detail the corsair content, weapons, and full descriptions of the materials and quality of wood it was built with, stating ''.. wood from Riga. Everything is new and of first quality it will depart next month of Frimaire for a three months trip It will be commanded by Captain Quimper from Saint Malo. It will be armed with 18 cannons,.. rifles, guns.. and approximately 150 men crew.'', further explaining the minimum payment requested to get shares. Stamped and signed to the third page by the corsair ship owners ''Ship owners, Citizens J. Servel from Brest and A. Brodelet from Nantes'', and acknowledging the receipt of five hundred francs for ''the participation on the good and bad events results''. Small overall minor age wear and creasing. G
