STEINER RUDOLF: (1861-1925) Austrian Philosopher, Founder of Antroposophy. Steiner was also a literary Critic, Architect, and a claimed Clairvoyant. Rare A.L.S., `Steiner´, one page, to a German postcard, Berlin, to Paul Quensel, in German. Steiner congratulates his correspondent on the success of his drama Um die Scholle, stating `So Auf der Scholle! has premiered. We rejoice at your success. Please send our best wishes to all the group. The card bears two additional autograph messages by Otto Hartleben beneath Steiner´s one, the first signed more familiarly `Otto Erich´, and the second as `Otto Hartleben´ impersonating in jest a more formal personality. All three being humorous messages with a wordplay on the name of Quesnel´s drama, calling it Auf der Scholle. Few very small ink stains, otherwise about VG Paul Quensel (1865-1951) German Playwright. Otto Erich Hartleben (1864-1905) German Author Steiner and Hartleben were co-publishers of the influential literary weekly Magazin fur Litteratur.
