SAND GEORGE: (1804-1876) French Novelist who used the pseudonym of George Sand, her real name being Amantine Dupin. Also known for her romantic affairs with artists, including Frédéric Chopin and Alfred de Musset. A good A.L.S., `George Sand´, one page, 8vo, n.p., 24th April 1850, to Gabriel Falampin, in French. George Sand states in part `My dear friend, I have received the first half of the 500 fr. and your explanation letter
