BOLDINI GIOVANNI: (1842-1931) Italian Painter. Known as the ''Master of Swish'' for his flowing style. Boldini was mainly a portrait painter who lived and worked most of his life in Paris. A.L.S., Boldini, one page, 12mo, to a printed French Telegramme, Paris, Saturday, May 1897, to Madame Baroness Decayes, in French. Boldini sends a short note, stating `Dear Baronne, Please excuse me, I have to leave today - If you wish so, on Tuesday! You will find me all day any time. My best wishes.´ Postmarked to the verso. VG
