The first Chinese American actress to gain international recognition. Her career spanned over silent film, sound film, television and stage. Wong became a fashion icon and worked in films such as Douglas Fairbanks´ The Thief of Bagdad (1924), Shanghai Express (193)with Marlene Dietrich. Later in her life, Wong made history with her television show The Gallery of Madame Liu-Tsong.
