[GAUGUIN PAUL]: (1848-1903) French post-Impressionist Artist. Recognized, only after his death, for his experimental use of colour and synthetist style, distinct from Impressionism. An extremely rare original unsigned sepia 6.5 x 4 photograph, [Pont-Aven, 1886-87], the image showing a group of persons, including several artists, seated outdoors around coffee-bar tables. The photograph is affixed to a slightly larger page. Three persons are identified and numbered in a collector´s hand, carefully annotating below the image and to the page the image is affixed to, their names, ''1. F. du Puigaudeau - 2.
