MOODY DWIGHT L.: (1837-1899) American Evangelist at the time of the Civil War, founder of the Moody Church. A.L.S., D L Moody, three pages, 8vo, San Francisco, 19th November 1880, to George. Moody writes concerning a Mr. Marshall who has informed him that he would very much like to have Cuthbert (?) stay in Boston this winter and go to school, remarking 'I would have him do it by all means if he can leave Mrs. Marshall to look after him. Moody also reports that his work is going well in San Francisco and that he is also encouraged with the results at Salt Lake, where he wished he could have stayed a month longer, and concludes 'I wish I could drop in on you at Thanksgiving but that will have past by the time you get this'.
