CASALS PABLO: (1876-1973) Spanish Cellist. A.L.S., Pablo, one page, oblong 4to, Prades, 29th January 1952, on the attractive printed stationery of the ''Festival Bach-Mozart-Beethoven'' at Perpignan, to Vera, in French. The cellist states in part `Dear Vera, it was kind of you to have embroidered yourself the Russian sign, so nice, thank you dear Vera. But am sad to learn about Sacha, our brother, who is not here anymore, dear young boy!´, further saying `I have news from Riviera via one of your former pupils, today a very great artist, Eugene Istomin..´ Folded. VG Eugene Istomin (1925-2003) American pianist of Russian origin. A child prodigy.
