CAGE JOHN: (1912-1992) American Composer. A leading and influential figure of the post-war avant-garde and electroacoustic music. Cage was strongly influenced by Indian philosophy and Zen Buddhism. Cage was also instrumental in the modern dance development through his association with Merce Cunningham, his romantic partner for most of their lives. A good signed 9 x 11 photograph, the image showing Cage outdoors, standing in a full length pose. Signed in bold blue ink, with his name alone, to the lower white border of the image. VG
