LEHAR FRANZ: (1870-1948) Austro-Hungarian Composer of operettas. Vintage signed sepia postcard photograph of Lehar in a half length pose with his hands gently clasped before him. Photograph by Franz Lowy of Vienna. Signed by Lehar in bold black fountain pen ink with his name alone to the lower white border. Together with an A.L.S., F Lehar, on one side of a correspondence card, n.p., 11th November 1922 (?), to a young lady, in German. Lehar thanks his correspondent for her charming photograph and adds that he will obtain tickets to Endlich allein for her, if she sends him a reminder. A couple of light, small minor stains to the edges of the image, G to VG, 2. Lehar's operetta Endlich allein (Alone at Last) premiered on 30th January 1914 at the Theater an der Wien. It was later revised into Schon ist die Welt (The World is Beautiful) in 1930, starring Richard Tauber.
