Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), painter and graphic artist from Dresden, studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Werner Tübke was one of his students. Expressive double portrait ''Wolfgang and Loni'', large etching with drypoint on wove paper (papier vélin), signed by the widow lower right, 34.5 x 49 cm, sheet dimensions 79 x 53 cm.
