Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), painter and graphic artist from Dresden, studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Werner Tübke was one of his students. Chronos Robs Beauty'', drypoint etching on wove paper (papier vélin), signed by his own hand lower right, light margins, remains of mounting, 39.5 x 25 cm, sheet measures 61 x 43 cm.
